The intention of massage therapy is to relax the soft tissues, increase delivery of blood and oxygen to the massaged areas, warm them, and help the body to relax. In your session, I will discuss your symptoms, medical history and the desired results. I will perform an evaluation through touch, and observing your posture and movements and may use some special tests to. Oil or massage wax will be used in your session to help reduce friction on the skin and I may also use hot stones to increase the effectiveness of your massage.
Massage may be found to bring relief from everyday aches, reduce stress, increase relaxation, address feelings of anxiety and tension, and aid general wellness. It can also be used to assist in the rehabilitation of muscular injuries, and can be used along other therapies to support your progress.
A range of techniques suitable to your specific set of circumstances will be used to treat your muscles and the connective tissues within the body to get to the root cause of your issue.

Kate can offer you clinical and sports massage, hot stones treatments, and massage specific to the treatment of pain associated with TMJ (jaw, head and neck).
Times vary between 60 and 90 minutes, these will take place in the massage studio in her home in Cranbrook, just outside of Exeter.
If you are a first time client you must have a full consultation. Refusing to attend consultation will result in the cancellation of your massage.

If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice no charge will be made to you.
Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a charge of 50% of your treatment.
