Kate's mission is to ...
Help you manage your pain
Improve your movement, and
Empower you through recovery from injury, or help you manage your chronic pain.
Because she believes that we should all be able to live our lives to the fullest.
Kate grew up in Yorkshire to teacher parents and was always encouraged to follow her own path and to achieve her goals through hard work.
At school she showed an interest in physiotherapy and meteorology, both areas of study with a strong background in science. Her first career path lead her to become a weather forecaster. After several years in this shift working role she decided that it was time for a change. NIGHT SHIFT WORKERS SHE GETS IT!!!!
Looking at her other passions -she is a keen gym goer and open water swimmer- she was drawn back towards the idea of physiotherapy but was unsure about the idea of returning to university; it was at this point that Kate discovered the wonderfully diverse world of massage therapy. In 2019 Kate began her journey to becoming a massage therapist originally training in Swedish massage, the more she learnt the more she wanted to know and she is now taking on the UK's highest qualification in massage the BTEC level 6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage, due to be completed in 2026.
Kate describes herself as a 'body detective' and works to get to the root cause of your pain. She offers appointments based on massage time and each massage is bespoke to you and your needs. She has a range of techniques and tools to draw upon to ensure that you not get the best results possible but you also have an enjoyable massage.
Kate trained for her level 3 diploma in Swedish Massage and Anatomy and Physiology with the School of Bodywork in Exeter in 2019/2020. Soon after she returned to her studies with School of Bodywork and in 2022 received her level 3 diploma in remedial massage.
Most recently Kate completed her joint qualification Jing Advanced Massage Training in Brighton awarding her with a level 5 in Advanced Clinical Massage and level 4 in Sports Massage. She is committed to continuing her professional development and is currently a candidate on BTEC level 6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage offered by Jing Advanced Massage Training.

In January Kate attended the Hot Stones intensive course and is now offering hot stones massage as both part of clinical massage treatments and as a stand alone treatment.
Kate is a soft tissue specialist and is able to treat chronic pain and injury. All of her training has furnished her with skills in swedish massage, deep tissue massage, fascial release, muscle energy techniques, stretching, and acupressure. If you want to know more about any of these techniques then please get in contact and Kate will be happy to answer your questions.
Kate believes in protecting everyone when it comes to choosing a massage therapist, and is committed to her long term continuous professional development. This is why she has chosen to be a member of the Association for Soft Tissue Therapists (formerly known as the Sports Massage Association or SMA), and is registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). These actions mean that she has signed up to a code of conduct and will uphold the highest standards within the industry.
